Motyw pięknej i bestii jest nie bez powodu tak intrygujący. Zwłaszcza nagiej pięknej i męskiej bestii.

Można by się zastanowić gdzie leży źródło popularności tego motywu. Pozornie jest to seksistowski punkt widzenia, bo kobieta jest tu przede wszystkim piękna. Mężczyzna natomiast jest albo herkulesowy albo pokazany jako bestia, czyli nie tylko nie jest piękny, ale jest potworny i niepowstrzymany.

Wydaje mi się, że ten archetyp mógłby poruszyć  Bartosz na swoim blogu. Zdecydowanie obie płcie mają w tym toposie realizację swoich nieuświadomionych marzeń: kobiety poskramiają bestie, a mężczyźni zdobywają piękne. Może to banalne, ale na podświadomość działają proste i jasne przekazy. Nawet jeśli ją supresujemy.

Przy pewnym braku harmonii, czyli zdecydowanie seksistowskiej wersji, kobieta jest sprowadzona do przedmiotu – staje się bezwolną niewolnicą, używaną przez potwora. Jakkolwiek w pewnych określonych sytuacjach między bliskimi sobie ludźmi może taka sytuacja zaistnieć ;> , to dobrze gdy jest ona przejściowa i pozorna. Brak harmonii szkodzi zdrowiu.

Na fantastycznych obrazach Borisa Vallejo kobiety i mężczyźni są zawsze piękni, zadbani, nienagannie zbudowani. Podobno artysta maluje swoją żonę od lat, to by wyjaśniało podobieństwo na niemal wszystkich obrazach.

Poznałem jego twórczość dzięki… babci Lilce. To była bardzo barwna i ciekawa osoba, może coś Wam więcej kiedyś opowiem. W każdym razie babcia, nie mając wiele wstydu w kwestiach męsko-damskich, kupiła moim starym na rocznicę ślubu czy coś równie doniosłego ;> album ,,Miraż”. Na szczęście przeżył on moje macanie lepiej niż sławetna książka ze zdjęciami, o której wielokrotnie już wspominałem m.in. w poście Wczorajsza Goła Pani. Gdy myślę o Mirażu pojawia mi się w głowie poniższy obraz. Bardzo go lubię. Mokrość jęzora tego minotaura jest bardzo niegrzeczna. A jednocześnie ta kobieta jest pewna o swoje bezpieczeństwo. Dobry motyw na obraz. Na pewno ten wątek się u mnie pojawi.

The beauty and  the beast theme is naturally alluring. Especially when the beauty is naked and the beast is manly.

I wonder where lies the source of popularity of the subject lies. It may appear sexist at first, because a women is first of all beautiful. Man on the other hand is either a hero or a beast, in which case he is not handsome but monstrous and unstoppable.

It may seem an interesting archetype for a blog like Bartosz Karwowski. Definitely, both sexes have their inner fantasies in the subject: women tame beasts, men conquer beauties. Yes it’s trivial, but our unconsciousness needs such simple ideas even if we suppress them.

When a balance is lost, in obvious sexist version, the woman is brought to the position of an object. She becomes a slave to be used by a monster. Despite its attraction in certain situations between close people, ;> it is better when this deformation remains temporary. Lack of harmony in life is harmful.

On the paintings of Boris Vallejo women and men are always beautiful and have fine bodies. It is said that the artist mostly paints his wife, that is why many girls on his works look so similar.

I got to know his art because… of my gradma Lilka. She was a vivid and interesting person. Maybe I will tell you something about her one day. Never the less, she wasn’t very shy, nor she had any problem discussing any unusual subjects. One day, she bought the “Mirage” album for my parents for their wedding anniversary, or something of that kind of importance ;). Fortunately, the album survived my hands way better than the infamous book I told you several times before i.e. in Yesterday Naked Lady.  When I think of Mirage the above picture comes to me. I like it very much. The warm wetness of the minotaur’s tongue is very naughty. The woman feels safe despite being in a mouth of a monster. She tamed it. Good painting. This theme will definitely appear in my drawings.
